Does Twitter Own TwitterSync?

Maybe I am the only person in the dark, but did anyone else know that Twitter wrote and owns TwitterSync? Because Twitter thinks that they do1

I was under the impression that some guy named, um, Dustin Brewer (I think) wrote TwitterSync — wait… that's me! Right. I thought I wrote TwitterSync. Perhaps I'm mistaken. :)

Twitter Owns TwitterSync

Updated:

The official response is:

We know that the TwitterSync app is your creation. We are not claiming it and give you all the credit for this awesome app. It was the slip of my tongue or fingers in this case."

Evidently when they wrote the following, they meant TwitterSync was written by me:

We have a new twitter app that you can add to facebook that will get rid of the "is twittering"

http://apps.facebook.com/twittersync/

Twitter Sync is the name of the app. Install that and you should be free from the "is twittering"

i hope this helps!

At least that's cleared up … I didn't even have to send a C&D letter! HAHA

  1. Note: I meant to post this the same day I found out… but that didn't happen. []
